Email from your domain (optional)
Your site sends email: confirmations to people who ask about training, and replies to sponsorship enquiries.
How it works from day one
There’s nothing to set up. Your site sends from noreply@openside.club, with your club’s name as the sender and your club’s contact address as the reply-to address. When someone replies, it goes to you.
Set your contact address in your site’s admin under Site admin › Contact & links. Enquiries from your site are sent there too.
Sending from your own domain
If you’d rather emails come from an address like hello@yourclub.com, you can. Add your domain under Email in your setup checklist and we’ll give you three DNS records to add, the same way you pointed your domain:
| Record | What it’s for |
|---|---|
| SPF (TXT) | Says which services may send email for your domain |
| DKIM (CNAME) | Signs each email, so it can’t be forged |
| DMARC (TXT) | Tells mail providers what to do with email that fails those checks |
If your domain already has an SPF record, don’t add a second one. Add our part to the one that’s there, because a domain with two SPF records fails them both. Your checklist shows how.
Once all three are found, your site switches to your address. Until then, it keeps sending from ours, so nothing breaks while you set it up.
